The Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” sport an all-red aesthetic, altered upper panel pattern and embossed diamond Swooshes. It was released without any warning or fanfare from Nike and sold out in minutes. Originally scheduled to be released in December 2013, fans went crazy when Nike announced that the Red Octobers were releasing on December 27. A few days later, Nike cancelled the release, disappointing thousands of sneakerheads. The shoe also sparked Yeezy’s angry rants about Nike, which prompted him to leave and sign with competitor Adidas.
